Baby xx xx xx. in Guatemala.

This little baby girl was unnamed before she died and so we have to bury her with this title of xx xx xx. She was just 11 days old.
Her 17 yr old single mother brought her to the hospital , she had been having convulsions, had pneumonia and was very, very ill. The family came from Mazatenango and were very poor. The social worker called us from the hospital and asked for help to be able to pay for tests for the baby.
We raised the money for the tests and the baby was sent to the city.
The next day she was returned back to Solola and the following day passed away.
We never did find out exactly what the results of her test were.
The family left before the baby died, we think that they had been told that she would not survive.
I am sure that it was the costs of the transportation of the baby's body and the cost of the burying her that stopped them from returning to claim her body.
Mayan Families waited two days for the family to return but when they didn't come back, we arranged to buy the coffin and have the little one buried in the cemetary.
Thank you to those who sent donations to help this little girl.
This is the link to the story we wrote about the baby girl when we were trying to get help for her.
