Fayne !

This is Fayne, he is 80yrs old. He works tirelessly with a Canadian group called Paso por Paso. There are 6 of them in the group, all retired teachers. They sponsor 15 children to go to school which is wonderful just by itself.
But they have also worked very hard for a long time now to raise money to make the school in Tierra Linda able to function as a school. They have funded building classrooms, put on new roof, rewired the electricity, put in new bathrooms. They are now in the process of building a retaining wall for the school and building two new classrooms.

The school in Tierra Linda will always have needs but thanks to Paso por Paso and many other people who have donated to help the school, it is now in pretty good structural shape.

Fayne decided that he wanted to see some other schools that we are asking help for.
Especially Nueva Esperanza and Xecotoj. Both schools are being held in tin sheds. Nueva Esperanza has only dirt floors, no white boards. The bathrooms are two wooden sheds. The school has no supplies. They had no books until last week when thanks to Mac and Karen from California they were able to receive a good supply of books for each classroom and thanks to volunteer, Wayne from Alberta, Canada, the organization " Be One to Help", they also received a cabinet to store the books.

Fayne loves the adventure of going in the back of the pick up, but not the sitting on the floor, so he takes along a plastic chair to take in the view as he goes up the mountain roads. His wife, Catherine, prefers the comfort of the passenger seat inside the cab.

Thank you Fayne , Catherine and Paso por Paso.
