Tierra Linda school . Guatemala.

The Tierra Linda school is getting a much needed addition of two classrooms. The school is already overcrowded and this addition is something that the teachers and the parents have been really hoping would be able to happen.

Thanks to Canadian group, Paso por Paso their dreams have become a reality.

Paso por Paso is a small but very active group ....many of the members are retired school teachers who have visited here.
They have been appalled at the conditions that the teachers have to work and have done a lot of fundraising to improve this school.

They have just completed putting in new bathrooms and a new roof on one of the classrooms.

Now they are putting a second floor on an existing classroom. This will allow for two new classrooms on the second floor.

The children have been moved out of this classroom are now taking their classes on the patio of the community center.
Work is happening quickly on this project so that it will be completed before the wet season starts.
