Rosa in Guatemala.

With the help of your generous donations, single mom Rosa was able to go to a good doctor, who diagnosed her with diabetes and prescribed medication. Unfortunately, Rosa has not felt much better, and is still unable to work most days.

Her family and finances have been especially strained lately, because her grown daughter, Yolanda, and several of her young grandchildren have been sharing her home, which was already full with six of Rosa's younger kids.

Yolanda was pregnant, and suffering from and suffering from an umbilical hernia, which made it too dangerous for her to stay in the rural village where she lives with her husband, several hours from a hospital (she gave birth in late December, and recently returned home). Both Yolanda and Rosa were bedridden for a significant portion of the last few months, leaving the family with very little income...
