Getting a bed!

These students were so lucky to receive the wonderful gift of a bed from their sponsors today. Erick and his family have a house that is mostly made of plastic sheeting, they sleep on the dirt floor on straw mats. They are certainly going to be so happy to have this double bed at home tonight!

Maria and Cristina also live in Tierra Linda. Their father died a few years ago after an accident at work.
They now live at their grandparents house with their mother and a younger sibling. The house is just one room made of tin sheeting. They were sleeping on the dirt floor on straw mats.
They were so thrilled to receive the gift of this bed.
