Carmen Mother of 7 (#999)

Carmen Perez (Senior) (mother of Student #999) is gravely ill.

Carmen, who is the mother of Carmen Migdalia (#999) and Jairo (#922), is deathly ill. She has been vomitting blood; her lungs are filling with water; her liver is in bad shape. Without an ultrasound and help to buy medicines, Carmen Migdalia , Jairo, and the six other brothers and sisters fear they will lose their mother.

The father had a drinking problem but has not been drinking for three years now. Carmen , the mother has stopped drinking for the past 9 years. Carmen, the mother, was making beaded jewelry when well, and making about $6 per week. The father makes about $33 per week when he's working, as a construction worker. Without any money, the children are hopeless about their mother's health.

We think a medical aid donation is important to hold this family together. These children, Carmen Migdalia (4) and Jairo (7) are not old enough to raise themselves.

It will cost about $75 for the ultrasound, and the first medications. Any thing you can do will help. The father has been spending all his money on treatment for the children and their is nothing left over for food for the children. They need help with food. The littlest girl, Carmen is in our pre-school in San Jorge. She was very malnourished and is now doing well because she has been eating daily but now with this crisis the family is facing there is just not enough money for food.
