Tierra Linda School going up!

Thanks to the very generous support of Paso por Paso, we are able to continue construction of the second floor on the little school in Tierra Linda. Tierra Linda is a remote community in the highlands of Guatemala. This will provide two much needed classrooms for the school's growing population. The village helped pour the second floor this past week. In the meantime, the children who use the classroom below are taking classes in the corridor of the community center. These classrooms are such a welcome addition and they will be finished before the wet season starts!
Paso por Paso is also very generously funding the retaining wall to protect the school from land erosion. This is a very large, strong retaining wall that will stop the school sliding into the neighbor's house below. This also has been a great relief for the neighbor!

The blocks are ready and waiting to be used to build the two new classrooms!

Thank you Paso por Paso for this wonderful help for the school of Tierra Linda!
See the link below for more photos of the construction.
