Several of the women who work at Mayan Families were thrilled to receive aprons made by Louise from Canada. Louise is visitingwith her husband, Jim and two friends, Carol and Wayne. They are visiting her sponsored students and working at the Chuk Muk school.
Jim is very much involved in the construction of the new toilets at the Chuk Muk school.
Louise has been helping to start the library at Chuk Muk school. Some of the cabinets that Wayne and Michael have taught the Mayan Families employees to build have been donated to the school.
Also a huge amount of the books that Karen and Mac McKay from Santa Catalina Island , California had sent down. These books had been in storage for a long time in a public school and the McKay's were able to convince the school to donate the books and to have Rotary pay for the shipping.
The aprons are beautiful and very much appreciated.
Thank you Louise!
