Yesterday we delivered a good supply of food to the family of Leonel Culan. This is the man who is in hospital who has been paralysed from a fall.
The family is in a very, very difficult situation. They have very little food. They had no beds . You will see in the photos the bed that the father would use when he came out of hospital.
Thanks to the kindness of our supporters , the family now has two beds and food for this week.
They also had a pila donated but when the Mayan Families employees arrived at the house they realized that the family was much more in need of help with either the toilet , which is completely exposed or entering the house , which is a dirt floor and is not at all wheel chair accessible.
Please see the photos below to see the condition of the home . This family will need to have a lot of help to have the house made accessible for the father.
The family was so excited to receive these beds and to receive food.
The children also need sponsoring to go to school. If anyone would like to sponsor one of these children, please write to us.
