Dany.

This is 17yr old Dany. 7 years ago his mother gave him one of her kidneys. Dany has been a sponsored student for many years, he has done very well. He has until the last 6 months always worn a mask so as not to get germs. His father is an alcoholic. Dany and his mother have suffered a lot , living in a house that was not a house , it was a shelter that didn't even keep all the rain out. It was one of the worst houses I have seen.

We received a donation to repair the house, we had received a donation to help the mother with the on going medication that Dany needs.

Everything was looking very good.

Then Dany got sick a few weeks ago. Quickly, he has become almost unrecognizable. He is now swollen and yellow. Today when he came to Mayan Families he can barely talk , everything tires him out. He can't walk very well.

His sister came with him and she cried. She thanked us for all that we have done for the family. She said that the doctor told him he needs another transplant. But there is no one to give a kidney to him.

We have arranged for Dany to see the specialist in the city this coming week. We had to encourage Dany to go. He is scared. He doesn't want to have any more machines attached to him, he is not sure that he wants diaylsis. He said it was very painful last time. He is depressed.

We told Dany that he just has to go to the specialist and see what treatment he suggests and then the decision is his.
Please keep Dany in your prayers and thoughts , Dany is in need of a lot of healing and I hope that he will be able to get it.
