Xela finds a new home!

Today Xela was lucky enough to find a new home. She is the second dog that we have had adopted out this week. This is record for us.

Xela is a labrador x . She had been used as a guard dog at a cement factory. When they closed , they forgot about Xela ( or just didn't care) and left her tied up with no food or water.

When Xela finally managed to break free, we found her wandering dragging a large chain behind her.
She was skin and bone and probably would not have lasted more than another week.

We built up her health, had her spayed and vaccinated She is now a healthy, happy , loving and very affectionate dog.

Today we were thrilled when she was chosen by a very nice family to go and live with them.

Of course, just when I was congratulating myself that we were down two dogs, two more puppies were brought to our door , they were carried in flour sacks. They had been brought down from Tierra Linda.
I told the owners that they could leave them, that we would spay them and then they would be returned.
