Need help with computers!

We have the wonderful opportunity to receive 14 computers here in Guatemala from the U.S.
They are second hand but in good condition. The cost , delivered in Guatemala is only $55 US.

We would love to have these computers to use at the San Jorge Community/Learning center.

We envision the same arrangement that we have with the school in Tierra Linda. They bring the students to the center three times a week. Half the class gets to use the computers and the other half use the time to study or read in the library. The class usually lasts at least two hours.

This is a fantastic opportunity for these students to have access to computers and to internet.
They have no chance at their school or their village of accessing computers. These students once they graduate then go to school in larger towns where all the children have been using computers at school for some time. They are already way behind. It is our hope to be able to bring them up to speed so that they will have as good a chance as the next student.

These computers will also be used in an after school program where students will be able to book time on the computers and do their homework or study.

If you can possibly sponsor one of these computers for $55 US. we would be so grateful or any donation , no matter how small will make a great deal of difference in getting these computers to us.
