Food Donations in Guatemala.

Today we gave out food supplies in Panajachel. For days we have had people at our gate asking for food. We have been packing food supplies and giving them out in Pixabaj and Maria Tecun where there was a huge amount of lost homes. 383 families lost their homes and were left with barely nothing. Most have no food. A large proportion of their crops are gone.
We gave out food earlier in the week in Panajachel to all the people who had lost their homes. But today we gave out food to people who did not all lose their homes but are in great need. Many of them work in the river taking sand out to sell. There has been no work for them and they have no money for food. Many are single mothers who have had no work. Some of them have lost their jobs as there is very little tourism. They were all very grateful for this help that you have made possible.
