Rebeca is unemployed, she usually sells food at school during break but she was ill for two months, lost her place at the school and then was evicted from her house. She has to look after her elderly mother and she has her young teen age daughter to bring up.
She was living in a house that Mayan Families had arranged for her but mudslide danger forced her to leave. She has been living in the emergency shelter since then sleeping on the wooden floor on a thin mattress.
Mayan Families has rented this house for her and her family to live. We have received a donation that will enable them to live here for a few months and then hopefully, Rebeca will be able to get back to work and support her family.
